Blue Planet shortlisted for the North-West Dealmakers Awards 2019

Blue Planet’s recent acquisition of Smart Creatives, UK has been nominated for Insider's North-West Dealmakers Awards 2019. Hosted in the UK, the award recognises the achievements of the professionals who excel in the corporate finance community of the region. The acquisition has been shortlisted for deal of the year (sub £10m) along with six others.

Smart Creatives has been a critical addition to Blue Planet as it adds to the company’s ability to responsibly process electronic waste. With a unique process that uses ultrasonic agitation, the Smart Creative solution is set to transform the extraction of valuable metals and other materials from discarded electronics.

Jonathan Quinn, founder of Smart Creatives, created this solution to achieve better recovery rates of metals to replace mining of virgin materials. In doing so, he also endeavoured to create a solution that could replace the use of hazardous chemicals that often severely damage human and ecosystem health.

Blue Planet’s vision is to achieve ‘zero waste to landfill’ and the organisation continues to grow in order to achieve it. Guided by the ten principles of United Nations Global Compact, all operations contribute towards the achievement of Net Positive impact.

Headquartered in Singapore, Blue Planet has steadily been growing and now has offices in India, Vietnam, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. For more information about our technology and operations, please contact us here.
